Head of Production and Analytics

"During my career at PAION I have held a number of different positions, including Project Manager for various substances, Head of Analytics and, currently, Head of Production and Analytics.

I started at PAION in the summer of 2001 upon completing my post-doctoral studies in Boston. I was looking for a way to return to Germany and the most interesting job I could think of was starting in a small company with a good story and a small group of people who really want to "move" something. Joining PAION was definitely the right choice. I had and still have the opportunity to work in an exciting environment, learn something new every day and take on responsibility for an important part of drug development. The company has grown tremendously since I joined, and I have been given the opportunity to grow along with it by taking on more and more responsibility within the organisation. PAION will continue to grow and there are many plans and ideas that lie ahead - I am sure it is not going to be boring."

Head of Controlling

"I joined PAION as a controller in 2003. Before starting at PAION, I was not sure if such a small company would be the right thing for me, as I was used to working in much larger firms. During my job interview, I was very surprised to see how professionally the company works. It was clear to me that working at PAION would be a great personal challenge - after all, before that I had been responsible only for certain tasks, never for all aspects of controlling.
My decision to work for PAION was absolutely right. The wide range of tasks - from reporting to corporate strategic planning - has given me the opportunity to put my knowledge to work and to gain exposure to new and exciting areas of responsibility. PAION has been growing continuously since then, so that I do not only routine work, but also continually take on new tasks. PAION gave and gives me the opportunity to realise my ideas; unlike bigger companies, at PAION not everything is ‘set in stone'."
